Hello! I have always considered myself an artist. I have been exploring mediums with my interest in fashion and functional art. This led me to get my BS from Philadelphia University in textile design. My work ranges from fine art to fun fiber arts and crafts. Being able to share my love of art with others is what lead me to Art and A Bottle. I always know I will have a great day when it is in the studio working with great people and making art. I love working and living in my home town of Lititz.

When I'm not at the studio I enjoy being outside in my garden, hiking, and practicing yoga.

Hi there! My name is Heidi and I have had a thirst for knowledge in art since the age of five. This led me to pursue art as a career. I was fascinated by learning how certain techniques in different mediums can make a blank canvas come alive. My mother owned a frame-shop and taught fine art classes. She also instructed me in oil, acrylics, water color, charcoal, graphite, rug hooking, pen and ink, and pastels. I enjoy arts and crafts, fundraising for organizations, and participating in many art shows. My paintings hang in homes across the United States, which includes a former Senator of Pennsylvania and a museum in New Mexico, as well as abroad into Europe.

I received a BA degree at Pennsylvania State University in Anthropology and honors in Special Education. I was also taught in museum studies about how to create exhibits and worked at the William Penn museum in Harrisburg. I worked under some of the professors to create artwork for publications and even drew bones of the human body for my professors’ classes! I have written and illustrated a children’s book, “The Dog that had too Much Hair” and written a poem with other poets which was published in, “Beyond the Sea”. I plan to write more stories and poetry. I love teaching children and adults in fine art. I love to cook, perform puppetry, illustrate people, animals and any other subject. My art is displayed for sale on Fine Arts America and you can find it by clicking HERE. Working for “Art and a Bottle” has a friendly atmosphere and makes me feel part of the family.

Hi! My name is Denise and I have a BA in Fine Arts from Kutztown University. In college, I found I had a strong passion for 3D animation in addition to my love of painting, the very art form that helped me grow as an artist which started from a very early age.  I believe that art is a universal communication, an innate language shared by everyone! It can be appreciated, hated, or never fully  understood, but it's there and can help a soul grow if one seeks it out. As an artist my paintings usually delve into the world of realism, surrealism, and theories of the human condition.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, writing stories, and watching movies! I'm such a movie fanatic!

Hey everyone! I became an art teacher so that I can do what I love, while entertaining students and continuing to learn myself! After earning my degree in Art Education from Penn State in 2006 (We are!), I taught high school art in both public and private school settings in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA. I now have over ten years of teaching experience, and have taught with many different mediums including clay, graphite, collage, book-making, graphic design, photography, and of course, painting!

During my summers, I was able to work with elementary and middle school aged children while teaching art camps at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA. Now that I am happily settled in Lancaster with my husband Jon, I am very excited to share my love of creating with my community. I feel strongly that adults, as well as children, need time to relax, have fun, and connect with their inner creativity!

Outside of teaching and art-making on my own, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling whenever possible (Italy is still on my list!), maintaining my own art blog and online Etsy shop, and snuggling with my two gray kitties and sweet Corgi puppy!

Art has always played a large role in my life and I would not have it any other way.  I come from a very gifted family of artists. My Father and Uncle are painters and my Aunt owns a frame shop and art gallery in Lancaster.

I studied Fine Art at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design as well as taking several studio classes in Lancaster County.  I am greatly inspired by landscapes and I love working with color and mixing paints. I love to work in Oils and Acrylics and I also have experience with clay, glass, metal sculpture, and batik.

I keep very busy at home with my family. I have a beautiful 6 year old daughter and a handsome 1 year old son. We spend our time doing lots of arts and crafts as well as hiking, playing outside, and traveling when we have the opportunity.
